About Minuet Cats
-
The Minuet ( Napoleon ) is a hybrid mix of Persian and Munchkin cat breeds. The Minuet cat is characterized by it's short legs, as a result of the drawfism-mutation similar to the Munchkin cats.
According to TICA's official statndards, these breeds represent the only permissible outcrosses one may use to create the Minuet. This includdes the combinations Minuet x Minuet, Minuet x Munchkin, and Minuet x one of the Persian-type breeds (including Persian, Himalayans and Exotic Shorthairs). Minuets come in both long-haired and shorthaired varieties.

The Minuet (Napoleon) inherited its' distinctively short legs from the Munchkin, which are caused by a naturally occuring genetic mutation. From the Persian group (including Persians, Exotoc Shorthairs and Himalayans) the Minuet has inherited its' short snout, round face,, dense coat and substantial boning. The boning provides a good support system for its' uniquely short legs. About half of each litter are Standard with very short legs. The other half is Non-Standard, with regular legs, which retain the other characteristics of the breed. This is a very affectionate cat who knows how to make the family happy.

About Kilt Cats
-

s
Scottish Kilt Kittens are a cross between the Scottish Fold and the Munchkin cat. Together they produce a very rare, folded eared, short legged kitten. With their tiny legs, owlish looks and sweet dispositions, it's no wonder they are fast becoming a very popular kitten. Both the Munchkin and the Scottish Fold come in a large variety of colors and coat types at different lengths so the Scottish Kilt can be almost any color and be short, medium or long-haired. They are calm cats but can be quite playful and active and is intelligent enough to be trained to do a few tricks.
Some will have longer legs and folded ears while others might have short legs and upright ears. This means they might more closely resemble one of their parents rather than a combination of both.
